The calorie tracker that
gets Indian food.
Snap your thali, scan a barcode, or just say "two rotis and a katori of dal". Macrowala estimates calories, protein, carbs and fat in seconds, in the portions Indian kitchens actually use. Works with any cuisine.
Works in your phone's browser. Add it to your home screen like an app.Log a meal in the way that suits you
Every method feeds the same daily view of calories and protein against your targets.
Photo logging
Take a photo of your plate. Add a note such as "two rotis" to sharpen the estimate.
Barcode scanning
Point the camera at a packaged food's barcode and log a serving, using the product's details from the Open Food Facts database.
Voice logging
Say what you ate, check the words, and log it. No typing numbers.
Smart Swap, before you order
Photograph the menu or screenshot your delivery app. Dishes are ranked against your targets, and heavy ones come with a lighter swap from the same menu, like tandoori chicken instead of butter chicken.
Weekly meal plans
A seven-day plan built around your calorie and protein targets, with a grocery list.
Goals that fit you
Presets for fat loss, maintenance, muscle gain and performance, or set your own calorie and protein targets.
Share your plate, or your swap
Turn a meal or a Smart Swap into a card with a headline and the numbers, sized for an Instagram post or a WhatsApp group.
Built for the way India eats
Most trackers were built around sandwiches and salads. This one knows a katori from a cup.
Rotis, katoris and ladles
Log in the portions you actually serve, not grams you have to guess.
Home-style or restaurant
A home dal and a restaurant dal makhani are different meals. Estimates account for the ghee and oil.
North, South and everything between
Idli and sambar, rajma chawal, poha, dosa, thalis: set your usual food once and every estimate follows it.

Questions
How accurate are the estimates?
They are estimates, not lab measurements. Values from photos can be off by 20% or more depending on portion size and cooking method. If an estimate fails one of our checks, we show it to you to check before anything is logged, and you can correct any meal with a tap. Barcode entries use the product's details from Open Food Facts, a public database, where it has them.
Is there a free trial?
No. Every feature is included in the subscription, and you can cancel at any time.
How do I cancel?
In the app, open Profile and choose Manage subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. You can also email us.
I changed phones, or added the app to my iPhone Home Screen. How do I bring my account?
On the device you already use, open Profile and tap Get a move code. On the new one, open Macrowala and tap Move my account here: your meals, goals and subscription come across. On iPhone the Home Screen app starts empty, so do this after adding it. If you no longer have the old device, or cleared your browser data, choose Restore purchase and enter the email you paid with and the subscription ID from your receipt. That brings back your subscription, but not the meals and goals saved on the old device.
Is this medical advice?
No. Macrowala is a general fitness tool. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or take medicines that affect appetite or weight, agree your targets with your doctor or dietitian.
